Parakh Foundation, an NGO based in Delhi is a non-profit organization which was established in 2007. The sole purpose behind starting this organization is to work for the upliftment of the lives of the underprivileged children by providing them sound education irrespective of their race, religion, caste and creed. There are millions of children in India, who, deprived of ample wealth and proper education become victim of heinous crimes and involve in wrong practices like begging, human trafficking, child labor and many more. So, in order to combat social inequality in education system, Parakh has adopted numerous methods for the betterment of children learning and holistic development. It started with a vision to bridge a gap between the affluent people and the impoverished section of the society.

 

The mission of the organization is to emphasise the value of education in society by improving the methodology and technology of teaching for providing effectual education to the deprived and destitute children and to establish activity centers to train and enhance their skills in sports, games, painting, music, dancing, debate. It’s main objective is to aid them in leading a quality life of morality, dignity, justice, equality and harmony. Several initiatives are undertaken every year like Health and Medical Checkup camps, Literacy Programme, Rural Development Programme, Nutritional Awareness Programme to create and promote health and education among the weaker sections of the society. Parakh is like a ray of hope who is in the path of making a miracle in these children’s small world to make them a responsible and a mature citizen.

 

Best Principal Award 2015-16 Organised by Parakh Foundation

Parakh Foundation is an NGO in Delhi which was established with an objective to illuminate the lives of the underprivileged children by providing them sound education irrespective of their religion, caste and creed.  It emphasizes on the value of education in the society and so, with a perspective to combat social inequality in education sector, it is working continuously for the betterment of the children learning and holistic development. Parakh is organizing Parakh school awards, a first of its kind event to felicitate the unnoticed contribution of the schools towards society. The grand event is going to be held on 9^th of January, 2016 at Hotel Pullman, aerocity in Delhi. The “BestPrincipal Award” is a very special and prestigious award category as a principal is considered to be the “soul” of the school. They play a vital role in guiding, motivating and inspiring the teachers and the students. The discipline, academics, culture and the ambience of a school reflects the principles and the leadership qualities of its Principal. They act as a role model in enhancing and ameliorating the character, mind and personality of the students. In a nut shell, it’s the charisma of the Principal which help in weaving magic in the smooth functioning of the school. The competition is a golden opportunity as there will be 1500 schools all around Delhi to participate in the event. Dignitaries like Madhur Bhandarkar, Kirron Kher, ex- chairman of CBSE are to make their presence in the event.
